MAINTAINING OUTDOOR FURNITURE
Home makers are looking for products that will withstand the elements when displayed outdoors. At The Complete Garden we recommend any products going outdoors should be sealed with a good quality sealant upon purchasing and then again throughout the year.  This will minimise the effects of weather and reduce the likelihood of rust developing.

Different sealants are required for different surfaces.  A granite or Tuscan style table top will require a different sealant to the sealant required for the metal base and chairs.

Sealants come in varying applications but we find the most effective for applying sealant to iron furniture is an aerosol spray-on sealant.  A good quality sealant will soak deep into the pores of the metal, forming a barrier that locks out moisture and air - the main culprits of rust.
